WHO WE ARE

We are a part of SGI-USA, that is “the most diverse Buddhist community in the United States with more than 500 chapters and some 100 centers throughout the country.” We are also a part of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a network consisting of well over 12 million people in 192 countries and territories around the world.

WHAT WE DO

Our practice is based “on the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Buddhism, which teaches that each person has within the courage, wisdom and compassion to face and surmount any of life’s challenges." Learn more about Nichiren Daishonin.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Each week, members gather across Connecticut with family and friends to study Nichiren Buddhism, plan meaningful activities, and share our experiences. These meetings allow everyone to engage in a warm and hopeful dialogue of what each of us can do to create a culture of peace in our own backyard.
